Since SM City Cagayan opened few years ago here in the city, I experienced malling that most of us can only experience in Cebu City and Manila. Before, we used to shop with my mom at Cogon and Carmen Market where most shops and department stores in the city can be found. It is the only shopping destination I always visited ever since childhood, because Cagayan de Oro before has only one mall which was located downtown… but not now since SM got it all for you.

SM City Cagayan gave us the shopping experience with ease and comfort to go from one shop to the other and buy whatever we need in one cool location at the SM Mall. Not just for shopping but also it is full with family friendly restaurants like the Filipinos all-time favourite Jollibee, the Chinese known fastfood in the Philippines – Chowking and other local home grown restaurants, and not just that because when we wanted to have fun SM is also complete with leisure destinations for kids and not so oldies but goodies individuals to enjoy the day together with families or with friends.

I first experienced a mallwide free wifi sometimes last year in Manila and find it cool to have such facility for free inside the mall because it attracts more customers like me as a blogger and internet savvy to hangout more often.

I never thought SM would bring such perks here in Cagayan this early because I thought that most people here are not that yet ready to embrace this kind of free value added service. But I was wrong because truly, Cagayan de Oro is a booming city and SM City Cagayan is joining and catching up with the latest around the world, which made Cagayan to start of becoming a world class city.

I can say, putting up a free wifi here at SM is the coolest service among so many other free services they offer for us INTERNET-SAVVY MALLRATS.
