Cadet First Class Ireneo Bontilao Belen, 23, from Calindagan, Dumaguete City will lead the Class 2010 of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA). Most of the top 10 placers are coming from the poor to average family. Belen is a son of a tricycle driver and a housewife, but that is not a hindrance for him to be the class valedictorian of PMA 2010 and with putting God first in all the things he do everything can be possible.

Again, the country produced additional 226 PMA graduates and they will be automatically become an officer in Philippine Army (122 will be joining), Philippine Navy (59 will join) and Philippine Air Force (45 will join). We hope that the country’s hope to success will be on this young officer’s hand. They will be tomorrow’s leader and we hope that they will use their power in leadership for the betterment of this country. We have leaders of the country today who are PMA graduates then but they have been a shame for us. They have been working for money not for the country, so I put our hope for these young officers, to defend, protect and to lead us.

Do you believe Melisa Cantiveros was the clear winner of Pinoy Big Brother Double Up?

A few days after Melisa “Melai” Cantiveros was announced as the winner of PBB Double Up, some fans questioned the showing of the vote ranking of the housemates 4 days before the big night. (PBB: Vote results not rigged ) They said it affected the standing of 2nd Big Placer Paul Jake Castillo (who was leading at that time) in the final tally of text votes.

The management of Pinoy Big Brother denied accusations that the voting system had been manipulated to favor Melai and maintained that she deserved the win.

For me, Melai is the rightful winner, and I am sure that who ever won between Paul Jake Castillo and Melisa “Melai” Cantiveros both of them deserves it.

Paul Jake as a good player on every challenge that Big Brother gave to the housemates, being a friend to everyone inside the house and by being true to himself and to others makes him the big winner to me.

Melai deserves to be the big winner for me too because she is the one that made me watch and like PBB even more, everyday I stick to the 24/7 channel to watch her crack some natural jokes. I love it when she makes the housemates and most of us viewers laugh with her kingkay acts. It is not even acts because it is natural of her being a jolly girl inside the house. I know, that those who watch PBB loves her of being true to herself, I mean she doesn’t care if the people will like what she is going to do, she just do it whenever she wants it. She has no reservations of showing what she wanted to do or say inside the house, unlike the others who are just playing it safe just to impress us.

Whether the management manipulated the results or not, I am still happy that Melai got the first place. Without Melai, I don’t know what happened to the PBB today. Without Melai, I don’t know if we felt so ‘kilig’ and in-love watching the show. Without Melai, PBB will die sooner and that is the truth.

Melai saved the PBB and it is rightful that the management chose her to be the big winner (if ever it is true that the ABS management manipulated the results) and I don’t care if they did because everybody knows she deserves it.

Last February 6, Ex Alaska Governor Sarah Palin slash Ex Vice Presidential candidate was caught reading answers written on her hand. Mrs. Palin was asked about her priorities at the Tea Party Convention in Nashville and she answered by reading the answer from her hand in a rather suspicious manner. The whole thing was caught on camera that caused the public raising their eyebrows. Definitely, she is not a good actress. (LOL)

I have recieved some complaints from few friends that they feel like an alien when they are using Facebook, that is why they stick to the once upon a time became number 1 Social Networking site of the Philippines years ago… FRIENDSTER”. But if they are used with FB and now that FB keeps on updating for the benefits of its users. I am sure they will leave the FS for good and migrate to today’s number one Social Networking site, FACEBOOK.

The new facebook homepage has been updated to a new look. They said it is “A simplified design provides easy access to your entire Facebook experience.”

These updates was created for the user to have ease of use and to:

• See new requests, messages and notifications grouped together by the Facebook logo.
• Easily access your messages, applications and chat on the left side of the page.
• Manage privacy settings and log out using the Account menu above.

They grouped some functions and applications to simply locate them easily everytime you are updating your account like:

1. Icons for requests, notifications, and messages light up when there’s something new you won’t want to miss.
2. The Account Menu contains links to important settings pages. It’s also where you can go to find help or log out.
3. The Basics — Search, Home and Profile — are accessible at the top of every page.
4. Core Features such as News Feed, Messages and your Friends – are at the top, making it easier to keep up with what’s new.
5. Applications you’ve bookmarked have moved up the page for easy access. The new Applications and Games dashboards help you discover new and interesting information from your friends.

Rosanna Roces asked one member of the contestants from Calamba Laguna about the Jose Rizal thing and because he cannot answer correctly Osang told him “Murahin mo yung Teacher mo ha… ako minura ko teacher ko nung di niya sinagot sa akin yan… Oo, walang hiya yang mga teacher na yan di sinasabi ang totoo sa akin eh… dahil ang mga teachers they were just repeaters…”

I think Rosanna Roces hates teachers… wait ano ba natapos ni Osang? Anyway, because of what Osang imparted on the show for the young viewers, your favorite Showtime is suspended for 20 days. Yeah, 20 days because of that brilliant loquacious osang. Since the show is live the producer, director and stuff are too late to omit that scene, well… live shows are like that anyway… you cannot expect that all the time are perfect and you don’t know there is a lot of things happened that you are not aware at the moment the show is going on.

So, I think ABS-CBN will thank Rosanna Roces for that… she is making it controversial and whatever bad or good publicity is still a publicity. But I don’t think ABS is happy with that. The show is a hit and I personally is an avid viewer, but look what happened? Tomorrow I will not see some good indisputable entertainment. I think I am just going to wait and stick to Wowowee every lunch break! LOL!

Long-term exposure to mobile phone radiation may help to protect against Alzheimer’s, US scientists say.

After all the concern over possible damage to health from using mobile phones, scientists have found a potential benefit from radiation.
Their work has been carried out on mice, but it suggests mobiles might protect against Alzheimer’s.

Florida scientists found that phone radiation actually protected the memories of mice programmed to get Alzheimer’s disease.

They are now testing more frequencies to see if they can get better results.

The study by the Florida Alzheimer’s Disease Research Centre is published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease.

Film director Roman Polanski asks a US judge to sentence him in absentia over the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in 1977.

“It’s time everyone flies” That’s what Cebu Pacific Airline’s tag line. But according to a TV report last December 23, 2009 when Cebu Pacific personnel purportedly asked Mylene Alcantara’s son to get off a flight from Hong Kong bound to Manila for the reason that her child is a “special child”.

The Airline crew said that it is stated in the manual that disallows two mentally-ill person on-board the plane. A kid with Down Syndrome had already boarded the plane, prior to Mylene’s son, that is why they push not to let Alcantara’s son be in flight. Legal counsel, Salvador Panelo, said Cebu Pacific had no basis in prodding the special child to leave. “Special children are not qualified as mentally-ill passengers”, that is why Mylene press charges against the said Airline for civil and criminal.

Eventually Mylene’s son was allowed on the flight going to Manila, but still it causes embarrassment, humiliation on the mother’s part and it is also the reason why the flight was delayed for an hour.

“They did it in front of the passengers, without them knowing what’s happening. Baka pwede nila isipin na (They might think) I committed a crime or whatever. It’s very discriminating,” Alcantara told GMA reporter Ivan Mayrina.

Cebu Pacific said it has already apologized to the Alcantara family for the incident and to the affected passengers. But that doesn’t stop the Alcantara to press the charges.

Salvador Panelo said on the report that the Airline even offered to the family a free flight anytime this year for the trouble they have caused.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. might have been so pressured and stressed to think of fighting Manny Pacquiao that is why he keep bashing Pacman with words that he think might distract the champion. “I maintain and assure everyone that I have not used any form or kind of steroids and that my way to the top is a result of hard work, hard work, hard work and a lot of blood spilled from my past battles in the ring, not outside of it,” added the Filipino champion who just turned 31 a week ago. “I have no idea what steroids look like and my fear in God has kept me safe and victorious through all these years.”

I am a ‘DEXTER’ TV series addict for 4 seasons now and Season 4 finale is the best for me so far. I didn’t see that coming after Dex killed and disposed Arthur Michell, he went home to take his things and catch up with Rita but he found her at the bathroom’s bathtub soaked with her own blood and baby Harrison is crying with his mom’s blood all over the floor.

Gawd! My eyes were like an owl’s watching that scene. I didn’t expect Rita will be killed in the series. Aside from the fact that she is Dexter’s wife, Rita’s velvety and soft-spoken character will be wipe out on the story? I was still in shock while writing this post.

Because of that, I will surely hang on for the next season, but I can’t wait of what will be the twist of the story after that ending. Will Harrison becomes like his father? What will happen between Joey Quinn and Dexter’s dispute next season? And what about Dark Passenger? There are lots of unanswered questions to meet yet, so I really need to watch the next season, hope they will air it sooner.

I don’t watch TV often but I consider myself a Kapamilya, because most of the people at home tuned in to ABS-CBN. But I don’t really stick to one station, I also watch GMA-7 and other networks. But I usually tuned in to Discovery Channel on my free time or HBO, AXN, and sometimes Disney Channel and Cartoon network.

Anyway, speaking of Kapamilya, I just love their new Christmas Station ID entitled “Star ng Pasko”. I just love the message and the video of the station ID. So here’s the video of the Station ID and the lyrics of the song.

The Kapamilya network launched its Christmas station ID (SID) put together by its Creative Communications Management (CCM) group. This years SID features not only the networks stars and broadcasters, but ordinary people from different sectors as well.
